As a runner and coach of runners:My passion for running began when I raced my first mile on a dirt track in my 7th-grade gym class. I went on to run competitively at Wayzata High School, where I won the Minnesota state cross-country championship in my senior year, at Princeton University and for the New Balance Boston racing club. I have also coached runners at every level and age, and I am constantly inspired by working with many amazing people. Learn more.
As an entrepreneur and marketer: I received my business training at Babson College, graduating summa cum laude from the MBA program. This program has for many years been ranked # 1 in Entrepreneurship by US News & World Report. I was the sole founder of Bayside Runner, a specialty running retail business in southeastern Massachusetts. I was a founding teacher of the Epiphany Middle School, an independent school for children from low-income families in Boston. I have also worked in the footwear industry as product consultant for Puma International and as the track and field footwear product manager for New Balance. In addition, I worked as the manager of the Gutman Conference Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and in an education and research office focusing on church growth and revitalization for the Unitarian Universalist Association. Finally, in between jobs I've worked for a few amazing marketing consulting firms including Product180 and Copernicus. Learn more.
